Sometimes you just want something sweet and almost like ice cream :-) this simple smoothie can be as fancy or as simple as you want and there is no end to the healthy ingredients you could add. I have a suggestion to add some Baobab powder, which I happen to like the taste of and takes this drink to a new level of healthiness! So you can slurp away, safe in the knowledge that you are consuming vitamins, minerals, fiber and anti-oxidants :-)
Ingredients
1x cup of oat or almond milk (increase all the ingredients if you are making for more people)
1 x banana (frozen – I use up ripe bananas this way – peel and freeze to use for times like this!)
3-4 x pitted large Medjool dates (less or more to taste)
2 x tsp vanilla extract
1/2 x tsp of almond essence (optional)
2 x tsp of Baobab powder
Ice (you may not need this as the banana is frozen – but you can add some to a nice long glass)
mint leaves or orange slice for garnish
Method
I love to see methods like this – PUT EVERYTHING IN A BLENDER & BLITZ!!! woo hoo- how simple is that!
Select a nice tall glass, add a few ice cubesΒ – pour in the smoothie and decorate, add a straw and you are good to go π
Look yummy!
