
Turmeric is a bit of a wonder spice and the centenarians of Okinawa, Japan have been using Turmeric in their diet for centuries. It is a fantastic anti-oxidant and has anti-inflammatory properties making it a real power house for health. Turmeric is readily available these days and this makes a change from drinking normal or herbal teas. You can sweeten this special brew with a little agave syrup and enjoy the wonderful benefits it will afford your body!
Ingredients
2 x cups of oat milk/coconut or almond milk
1 x tsp turmeric powder
1 x tsp vanilla essence
1/2 x tsp cinnamon
1 x pinch black pepper
Method
in a small saucepan add all the ingredients (not the agave syrup) and gently bring to a boil. If you have a mini whisk use it to create a froth if not stir well. Stir in the agave and taste – this should fill two medium size cups.
Now stop what you are doing (e-mails, housework, zoom calls!) pull up a chair, sip your turmeric latte and be in the moment! 🙂
